Epic Security Analyst Position

Job Description

Provide support for the application working closely with the Epic Security Team Lead and fellow team members

Build, analyze, and implement Epic Security

Participate in security role build and security design

Assist with the user access process including the setup and maintenance of accounts

Provide support with the development and implementation of security controls for the Epic application

Assist with the configuration of auditing and creation of reports in association with auditing

Work with the AM/AC's under the guidance of the Security Governance board and under the direction of the Epic Security
Team Lead to create and update security templates

Participate in gathering requirements, troubleshooting, and alternative solutions to existing workflows and technical issues

During go-lives, ensure approved changes are implemented in a timely manner in production

Prepare and update documentation as the security build changes throughout the project

Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to and resolve security related issues during on-call rotation

Participate in go-live support and other duties as assigned

Mentor more junior members of the Security team and act as a knowledge expert to both the team and the project

Requirements: The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include (items are required unless noted otherwise):

Bachelor's degree in Computing, Business, or Statistics is preferred

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably in healthcare

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with Epic Security
Understanding of: User Roles (E2R), Menues (E2U), Activities (E2N), Security Classes (ECL), User Records (EMP), and Profiles (LTR)

Epic certification in one or more applications is preferred

Multi-platform and networking experience or education is preferred

Advanced computer skills
Good written and oral communication skills

Training in business functions and in systems analysis and design

Ability to work as a member of a team and independently without supervision

Good workflow analysis and business process integration skills

Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment

Ability to convey a strong presence and professional image, and deal confidently with complex business problems

Experience working within an ITIL based Change Management environment or IT support service

Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and troubleshooting/analytical skills

Good analytical, organizational, and process disciplines

Microsoft Office suite skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience with business analysis, design, and redesign is desired

Experience working with techniques and approaches for business process design

Experience working with techniques and approaches for test planning and execution

Understanding of healthcare business processes is desired

Well-developed time management skills and the ability to work rapidly without a loss of quality

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken and written English
