Job Description:
SENIOR LEVEL HIPAA TCI SME POSITION DESCRIPTION
Intellisat delivers consultation services with enterprise-wide IT
strategies for integrating Web applications with core business
systems, providing outsourcing capabilities, and effective business
reprocessing solutions. Through its Global Healthcare Division,
Intellisat delivers HIPAA consulting services to health care providers,
payers, and vendors. Intellisat currently has opportunities available
for Healthcare Consultants who are interested in becoming a member of
our HIPAA Services team.
POSITION:
Senior Level HIPAA Transactions, Codes and Identifiers (TCI) Subject
Matter Expert (SME)
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Senior level HIPAA TCI SMEs will:
Provide on-site HIPAA education to clients in the following areas:
4 HIPAA Awareness and Implementation
4 HIPAA Implementation Guides
4 EDI and TCI (Transactions/Code Sets/Unique Identifiers)
Participate in curriculum development activities
Provide in-service training on HIPAA and other healthcare related
topics to sales force and new hires
Provide HIPAA TCI Final Rule and Implementation Guide interpretation
for team members and clients
Mentor HIPAA TCI Leads and Analysts
Provide assistance in the development of HIPAA implementation plans
and associated resource projections
Manage HIPAA and other health care TCI client projects
Conduct industry-specific research for marketing and team in-service
initiatives
SUPERVISION:
The position reports directly to the Director of TCI Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will possess:
Extensive knowledge of TCI Final Rule and its application
Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA Regulations
Extensive, line-by-line knowledge of the TCI implementation guides
and their application in a payer or provider environment
Experience in EDI logical map development and coding on one or more
EDI translator
Experience with payer or provider IT systems, project life cycles
and resource estimation
Experience with payer or provider business processes and terminology
Experience in conducting interviews and group facilitation
Proven ability to distill pertinent facts from a volume of
information
Able to lead a team to achieve a common goal
Competency in course preparation and presentation skills
Minimum 10 years of Senior Level Healthcare provider or payer
experience
Management Consulting experience a plus
BS Degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to travel
