SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

POSITION:
HIPAA Transactions, Codes and Identifiers (TCI) Lead

JOB FUNCTIONS:
HIPAA TCI Leads will:

Act as a project manager for HIPAA assessment and implementation
activities
Identify client personnel to be act as resources for the data
collection phase of the HIPAA assessment
Facilitate data collection focus groups
Be responsible for the collection of client business and IT process
data
Perform HIPAA gap analysis
Make recommendations for client activities to address identified
gaps
Be responsible for the writing of the TCI portion of the HIPAA
assessment final reports
Be responsible for the development of HIPAA implementation plans and
associated resource projections
Provide on-site HIPAA education to clients in the following areas:
4 HIPAA Awareness and Implementation
4 HIPAA Implementation Guides
4 EDI and TCI (Transactions/Code Sets/Unique Identifiers)
Participate in curriculum development activities
Provide training on HIPAA and other healthcare related topics to all
levels of clients organizations
Mentor HIPAA TCI analysts

SUPERVISION:
The position reports directly to the Director of TCI Services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will possess:

Extensive knowledge of TCI Final Rule and its application
Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA Regulations
Experience with payer or provider IT systems, project life cycles
and resource estimation
Experience with payer or provider business processes and terminology
Experience in conducting interviews and group facilitation
Proven ability to distill pertinent facts from a volume of
information
Able to lead a team to achieve a common goal
Minimum 5 years of Healthcare provider or payer experience
Management Consulting experience a plus
BS Degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to travel
