Director of Consulting Management

U.S. Citizenship Required

Plans, directs, and evaluates the work of business

analysis, consulting and programming personnel in

consulting projects, development projects, and/or the

revision of existing systems in support of Company's

strategy, client business needs, and operations

requirements. Establishes and enforces standard

methods for system design, analysis, program design,

coding, and testing. Reviews work completed in

progress for completeness, efficiency, accuracy, and

adherence to standards. Supervises project managers

as assigned. Markets development and consulting

services to clients as appropriate.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Aligns assigned projects with Company's strategic

direction and provides continued guidance to ensure

that projects meet Company and client business needs

and are integrated and complementary.

2.Partners with division management team to clearly

define project roles and responsibilities, manage

issues, and ensure project-related activities are

properly tasked and completed.

3.Monitors and manages Company cross-division

activities related to assigned projects, including:

·Client interfaces and implementation planning

·Computer Operations and Security planning and

implementation

·Financial and billing guidance and oversight

·Marketing and Business Development efforts

4.Monitors and oversees assigned projects including

but not limited to completion of comprehensive

definition of direction, scope and objectives;

development of work plans, schedules and budgets;

determination of staffing requirements; definition of

deliverables; and establishment of design review and

quality assurance checkpoints for all aspects of the

project (s), securing necessary approvals.

5.Ensures that proper project management methods are

used in project tracking, status reporting, and

control; change management and issue management; and

software quality assurance planning.

6.Facilitates resolution of escalated problems or

issues associated with project (s) and/or service.

7.Manage the maintenance queue to ensure superior

client service and budget compliance. Ensure cost

benefit of all maintenance activity and alliance with

Company's strategic systems direction.

8.Provides input to the appropriate line managers for

purposes of the creation of staff performance reviews.

9.Provides overall management, business, and

technical oversight of projects.

10.Mentors Project Managers to enable them to develop

their skills and capabilities.

11.Oversees user project-related activities

including, but not limited to, cost/benefit analyses,

content and structure of user procedures, manuals,

etc., user training activities and related-project

documentation.

12.Oversees financial aspects of the project

including user authorizations and review of client

project billings for accuracy and completeness.

13.Approves vendor billings and manage vendor

relationships.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·Four-year college degree required; graduate degree

preferred.

·Minimum 8 years of project management experience on

projects which required at least 15 additional

personnel.

·Minimum 6 years technical work experience as a

programmer/analyst in an IBM mainframe and/or Client

Server Environment (preferably UNIX/Oracle)

environment.

·Minimum 4-6 years responsibility for business

planning and administration of major projects,

including personnel administration, preferably in the

healthcare industry.

·History of successful project implementations during

8+ years as project manager with projects of similar

scope and size.

·Experience taking numerous projects through the

entire project development life cycle.

·Superior people management and leadership skills.

·Experience in identifying and influencing the

acceptance of technical solutions for client business

problems.

·Willing to accept and influence a high pace of

organizational change.

·Thorough knowledge of programming concepts.

·Thorough knowledge of system development cycle and

Systems Development Methodology.

·Able to work on all phases of application

development without instruction or guidance.

·Able to communicate clearly and effectively. Able

to develop and deliver presentations in a professional

business environment.

·Able to interact with all levels of personnel in a

professional manner.
