Network Security Architect

COMMENTS: We are seeking a
security professional experienced in designing and implementing network security
architectures and
solutions. Reporting to the Director of Information Security Services, you will
work with other technology teams within the company to
develop and implement
enterprise-wide security
strategies and solutions.
Responsibilities
· Design and implement security solutions in a
complex network infrastructure.
· Provide technical leadership and management in
implementing network related projects.
· Develop and implement specific security standards,
guidelines, and procedures.
· Architect security solutions in meeting a wide
range of business needs.
· Provide level 3-problem resolution for security
related incidents.
· Maintain an accurate and complete inventory of
security devices including hardware and software
configurations.
· Design, document, and promote security ¿best
practices¿
· Provide guidance and consulting services for
security related questions from management, technical
teams or users as required.
Knowledge and Technical skills
· Minimum of 10 years technical experience in
designing and implementing network security solutions
in a large complex Internet environment.
· Expertise in security products and network devices(Cisco, Nokia, etc.).
· Extensive technical experience with network
security practices including Intranet, Extranet, and
Internet access
· Technical experience with UNIX, AIX, Linux.
· In-depth knowledge of authentication methods such
as RADIUS, TACACS / TACACS+ and SecurID.
· In-depth knowledge of TCP / IP, DNS, and web and
wireless security architectures.
· Working knowledge of diverse platforms and
applications (Windows 2000, Windows NT, Novell, Lotus
Notes).
· Expert knowledge of DES encryption, Digital
Certificates, SSL, VPN, IPSec, development of DMZ¿s
and other security tools and processes.
· Familiar with firewall packet-filtering software
such as IPF, Firewall-1, Firewall proxy software (TIS,
Toolkit, Firewall-1, etc.) and application proxies.
· Programming knowledge (C, C++, Perl scripts,
Objects, Java, etc.)
Interpersonal
· Must be solutions oriented.
· Must have the ability to effectively communicate
with team members, clients, and vendors.
· Must have the ability to develop and present ideas
and security solutions and concepts verbally and in
writing.
· Ability to work with all levels of management and
staff.
· Highly motivated handling multiple tasks and
projects simultaneously.
· Must have strong organization skills and is
performance oriented.
· Exceptional customer service and problem solving
skills.
