DIRECTOR, CIRCUIT DESIGN

Primary Responsibilities:

Will provide management and leadership to the circuit design team of 14-20 engineers. Will have design and managerial responsibility for the circuit design for all company product lines. Will work closely with other functional groups (including architecture, product engineering, software, test, operations and marketing) from product definition through design and production release. Will provide both the development programs as well as strong technical leadership for IC development.

Required Skills:

Must have demonstrated and proven skills in management of circuit design teams and a very strong technical background within the semiconductor and microprocessor environments. Must have the ability to interact successfully and effectively with all levels of employees.

Required Experience:

Requires 15+ years CMOS IC physical design experience with a minimum of 5 years background in a substantial management role. Must have experience in successfully building complex digital ICs from conception through to tape out and production release. Must have experience with advanced process technology development, excellent communications and management skills, the ability to build and lead a first class design team, and the ability to consistently deliver working first silicon and production-worthy second

silicon. Requires prior experience with major functional blocks, such as integer unit, register files, floating point data path, TLB or cache. Must have an in depth understanding of sub-micron CMOS process technology and high frequency design techniques and the ability to make cost/speed/power optimization trade-off decisions.

Minimum Level of Education:

MS in Electrical Engineering.
